Let's remember Maria Tanase
Today let's remember a Romanian traditional music singer, Maria Tanase. She was born a hundred years ago, in a Bucharest suburb, becoming, after many difficulties, a true jewel of the Romanian music. She sang passionately Romanian traditional music, the folklore. She was a unique figure in Romania of those times, doing whatever she wanted, loving and living with passion, helping many people, making tours in Romania and in America. Today she is remembered and celebrated by all Romanians everywhere, as an exquisite figure of the Romanian culture.
