Once upon a time, in a faraway place, there was a young girl who dreamed to become a princess. Her family was poor, she had three little brothers and she had to work in order to help her parents take care of the family. Although she wanted desperately to become a princess, there was little hope for the girl to meet a handsome prince, make him fall in love with her and ask her to marry him. Besides, she wanted to get married for love, not for status or money and she thought that chasing after a guy because of power or wealth would turn her into a greedy and bad woman, which couldn't be more true.
So she decided to enjoy her life as much as possible. During the day, she worked at a candy store and in the afternoon she did activities with the children at the volunteer center in her village. They would go out together, sing, dance and learn how to paint, and everybody was so happy! One day, as they were out on the hill sorrounding the village, singing and playing together happily, they suddenly heard a beautiful voice coming from the depths of the Earth, singing a beautiful and calming melody. It was like a dream, so beautiful and colourful, that they couldn't resist the temptation and they wanted to find the person singing it. So they began searching and searching but couldn't find anything. The next day, the same thing happened. The following day, the same.
The girl and the children began telling the story to the villagers and everybody gathered on the hill to find out what was happening. The beautiful voice began singing again and, as the villagers began listening, they started to faint one by one, until none was left standing, aside from the girl and the children. The children were completely surprised and frightened. Suddenly, the girl came up with a brilliant idea: she told the children to begin humming the tone of the melody they have been hearing for days. And what do you know? The Earth opened by magic and suddenly a big, white cat came jumped from inside, singing. She walked elegantly, as it continued to sing, towards the children, she sourrounded them three times, and then she stopped her song and sat down.
The girl asked her: "Who are you? What's happening? How come everybody fainted as soon as they heard your song?" The cat replied: "I am the Spirit of the Earth. I reveal myself in times of great trouble, to the Sons of Adam and the Daughters of Eve who are calling me in their songs. The people you see here have fainted because they forgot how to dream, to be happy and to enjoy their lives. You are the only ones standing because you have pure hearts, big dreams and you live life to the fullest". "Can we do anything to save them?" the girl asked again the white cat. "Yes" - came the answer.
